Forgiving Infidelity

It happens all the time that men cheat in a relationship, or have to forgive an affair, or have one. That doesn't automatically mean women never forgive an affair or dare to stray now and then themselves. A relationship can reach a point where one partner longs for an affair or has already thought many times about taking the leap. Usually it's about nothing more than sex, with no feelings involved. It's the new and unfamiliar that tempts men, perhaps even to sign up on dating sites so they can keep their infidelity secret. Why men in particular cheat more often in a partnership hasn't been settled. What is certain is that forgiving infidelity in a partnership is hard. Today it has already happened in many relationships and partnerships. Forgiving an affair takes a lot of strength.

Is Forgiving Infidelity Possible?

You regularly hear that men start an affair because the spark has gone out of the relationship and they look for satisfaction elsewhere. Unlike women, they try to save their partnership. Dating is a well-known term. Women interpret infidelity differently than men do. Forgiving or starting an affair begins before the sex even happens. Relationships or partnerships that have lasted a long time risk one partner having an affair or fling. Women try that way to bring some energy back into their sex life. Forgiving infidelity takes courage. They are often no longer satisfied, which is why they dare to stray, too. Sex is not the same as sex: men and women differ greatly in this respect. Communication is especially important in a partnership. When the sex stops working, infidelity and with it an affair can happen quickly. Forgiving infidelity is a difficult task.

Forgiving Infidelity Made Easier.

It gets difficult when you've already had a fling and regret the sex right away. An important question here is whether men should confess to the cheating or ask for forgiveness, or rather not. Even if the sex was only to save the relationship, it is still cheating. It gets especially bad if the man has an affair or was on dating sites. In that case the woman may be unable to forgive the cheating in the partnership. What matters is to let the infidelity be forgiven, to apologize sincerely and to lay out the reason for the sex. That way there is a chance of saving the partnership. Profiles on dating sites should be deleted as well. Forgiving infidelity takes strength. Forgiving infidelity is a long process.
