Relationships between people are something wonderful. Once you've built a relationship with someone, you don't want to give it up again. Especially when the relationship is based on a sexual and partnership level. But it's happening more and more often that the man or the woman cheats on their partner and strays. Is that always the end of a relationship, or can you forgive flings? What if, from the very start, both parties allowed each other to cheat?

Allowing Cheating - Open Relationships

A frequently chosen alternative for people who can't, or don't want to, commit to one person is to have an open relationship. Here partners talk openly about everything, and in most cases the partners then allow each other to cheat. Trust probably plays the most important role in such relationships. Because only someone who trusts their partner can allow cheating and, above all, cope with it. If that's not the case, jealousy scenes and arguments are definitely guaranteed. In an open relationship, it's enormously important to be able to talk openly about everything and to listen to the other person too. Then the various meetings with other sexual partners also work much more smoothly and are more fun.

Allowing Cheating - One-Sided Cheating

Not both partners always have the desire for other sexual partners. It's often men who look for more variety and want to satisfy different women. Conversely, there are of course also women who like to sexually satisfy, or want to satisfy, several men. Here too it's important in a partnership to communicate openly, in order to clear problems out of the way from the start or keep them from appearing at all. With open communication and enough trust, there are many people who allow their partner to cheat. Often, though, it's only the fear of otherwise losing the partner entirely.

Allowing cheating or ending the relationship

It's a fine line between accepting cheating and rejecting it. As already mentioned, there are people who allow their partner to cheat out of pure desperation and fear, others do it because they themselves like having other sexual contacts, and still others simply need the variety of different people.

How far you can and want to go along with something like this is of course always individual. Sometimes a relationship makes little sense, sometimes it becomes more intense and stronger than ever before. The most important thing is always open communication between both partners.
